I often get a chuckle out of other people’s parenting fails. Not because I’m a bad person who enjoys other people’s fails, but because I can SO often relate to them.

There are times when I feel my life is one big #parentingfail hash tag. We all try to be great parents and before we had kids we had this vision of how we would be these super, never do wrong parents… then the child comes and life hits and you realize we are all just trying to cope. So here I am sharing with you some of the parenting fails that people have shared this month that made me chuckle or pump my fist in solidarity with them – you are not alone in your parenting failures. You are not alone!

This made me laugh because I saw a cool parkour video and immediately wanted to show my son. Then I immediately thought of my son trying it and thought better of it. BUT I almost made the same mistake as this dad. If you don’t know what parkour is you must google it now and then envision your child trying it the next time you take him or her to the park.

All I can say is we’ve all been there. I remember going out to dinner with my son when he had explosive diarrhea. This was unusual for him at this time of day so I was caught unprepared. Unfortunately, a simple blow dry in the bathroom wouldn’t suffice. I had to go to the mall next door and buy him a new sleeper to wear. You’d think I’d learned my lesson, but no! It happened to me a few more times where I went out without a change of clothes and regretted it. Jillian, you are not alone my friend!

I don’t think there is a parent out there that can’t relate to this. If there is, I would love to meet him/her.

This has been a more than one time thing for me. It’s fruit… right?? 😉

I would love to be a fly on the wall when the child’s friends go home and ask their parents for the bunny app. Haha!

I couldn’t help but laugh at this because we’ve all made decisions that seem okay at the time,  then later realize what a bad decision it was. It won’t be your last one Martha! Trust me.

I can just imagine this poor mom’s face when she saw her child with a pacifier stuck in his mouth. This is the one thing all parents learn… we need a manual and it doesn’t exist. Every kid is different and you can’t predict what they will do. Often you can’t predict it because you would never think it was even possible – like getting a pacifier stuck in a mouth.

If you can’t relate to this, sadly, one day you will. There will come a time when you plan something or buy something for your child that you think he or she will absolutely love. You will romanticize their reaction and be met with a big ol’ “I wanna go home” or “I hate it”. I can feel this mother’s pain and see her child throwing at fit, not having the fun she had envisioned she would.

This is not really as funny but it is a big parenting fail. This woman, who clearly needs to work out her spider issues, had her 9 year old child in the backseat. I have spider issues but I would never jump out of a moving car when one scared me.  I posted this to make Dani in #9 feel better. 😉

We all have parenting fails, that is life as a parent. We need to share them so that we can feel we are not alone when we experience our own fails. Feel free to share some of your epic parenting fails with us!
